In the Black Square June 2006 after Wassily Kandinsky Acrylics on wood panel - 18 in. x 17 in. Private collection   Admired this one for a while; very strong, all the black, the primary/secondary colors and geometrics.   Again, it seemed simple, almost cartoonish, but it is VERY complex and very subtle.   In part, I decided to do this as a study for Composition 8 , which turned out to be too ambitious a place to start with WK.   A lot more aware of the relationships in his work, I can finish that one now.
